Video Diary - Day 9

Welcome to Video Diary Day 9. A really good day today, been more interesting one because I've been adding in the extra bit of exercise. So as part of this journey, it was my first double exercise day. Just in terms of time management, I did it one after the other. I generally would prefer to split them up, but it's going to depend on everything else in my life.


I'll get much better results out of doing a workout early in the day than doing a little workout later in the day. But yeah, time didn't allow that today, so I did my pull workout and nearly PB'd on one of my lifts, which is nice because I haven't seen that since February. Then went straight into some boxing training, which was interesting.


So really what I want to do is build up my running, but there's two to three days a week where I want to do something else, something just a little bit interesting, and I try out maybe a few gym classes or golf or maybe even dancing. I dunno, whatever, but just something that's interesting. And so today it was boxing. I did five, two minute rounds with a two minute break between the rounds, so nothing too strenuous. Again, it's just building it up slowly. And so yeah, really happy with how that went. I absolutely died during the session. Felt wrecked at the end of it, for the rest of the day.


Then I went shopping for a new gym gear that you'll see some video soon. And then I made probably one of my better meal days. I had a smoothie for breakfast with protein. Then for lunch, I had this wrap that I just threw together. I had meal prepped some chicken, and I was in a hurry. So I threw some chicken, some onions and some roasted red peppers, Philadelphia and some cheese into a pan. And then cooked that off, made it kind of nice and creamy, and then threw a wrap with some lettuce that was absolutely delicious, with some chorizo in there as well.

Tonight for dinner, a big chicken breast with 400 grammes of potatoes. I've just finished it. I'm absolutely stuffed. So yeah, really nice day. And there's going to be an ice cream before I go to bed. I love to include that snack. A lot of people would say, oh, why don't you just not have the ice cream? Because I'm still going to hit my goals, including the ice cream. And the ice cream makes me feel like I'm not in a diet. I don't need the ice cream, but I enjoy it and I want to enjoy my food. That's important to me. It's always been important to me. I love food. I've loved it my whole life.


So that's it. I was 5kg down, went back to 4.7kg down on the scales today, but I'm sure it's just a slight bit blip on, I know to expect the ups and downs that comes with the scale, despite doing everything close to perfectly. So hopefully back to 5kg+ down tomorrow.
