Video Diary - Day 15


Low Motivation!

 

Welcome to Day 15 of the video diary. Today has been the worst day of the journey by far. I'm feeling really low motivation. It's my busiest day and just really lethargic low energy, just not feeling great about it. Now, I did hit my calorie deficit today and I did get to the gym. I'm just back from the gym, so I have to, I suppose, take that as a win.


But my steps are horrific. Just 2,600 steps today, which is as sedentary as it gets. So I'm going to have to make up those steps. I'm going to have to have more than 11,000 per day average for the rest of the week in order to hit the 10,000 a day average over the whole week. But yeah, I'll get it done as I increase my runs. But just not feeling great. And these days happen on a weight loss journey. On my last journey, four to five of the seven and a half months, I had really low motivation, but the good thing is when you have good habits, even a bad day is a million miles better than when I had bad habits. A bad day four weeks ago, I would've had 5,000 calories and not got off the couch for the whole day. So I have to take it as a bit of a win from that perspective, but hopefully tomorrow will be better.


I think it was maybe the run last night that kind of made me a little bit tired today and the constant pounding I'm giving my body. So that's it. I'm 6.3kg down, which is really good. 15 days in, I have to be happy with that as well. A lot of things in a really good place and just trying to get that 1% better every day that I can. Days like this, I'm not getting 1% better, but I did PB my bench press tonight, which was nice. So that was one positive.


But there'll be days where I don't get 1% better and days where I get 2% or 3% better. And yeah, I just have to take it those days and hopefully it averages out at 1% a day and that's the goal. Hopefully Day 16 will be a better one, but I suppose overall, two weeks in, I'm doing great. Just pretty shitty day today, not feeling great. So that's it.
