Video Diary - Day 12


The Surprise!

 

Alright, welcome to Day 12 of the video diary. 4.9kg down on the scales. Overall, I had a lower protein day yesterday, which I think means that I've eaten some more carbohydrates despite my deficit and therefore retained some water and I think that's what's happened.


My nutrition the last two days has been pretty shit. I've hit my calorie deficit, which is the most important thing, but today, just a load of snacks. I did get some fibre in this morning with my protein porridge, which is a load of snacks and just not sticking to the food plans that I made. Really the most important thing is I stick the calorie deficit, but I can't continue to eat nutritionally like this. It's not sustainable for the journey, it's not sustainable for onward life.


The most annoying thing is that I've got a new injury. I've injured the back of my delt here doing an exercise that was supposed to build it up earlier today in the gym. So this is the second injury, only 12 days in. But again, it's going to be a pretty minor one. I'm pretty sure. It's not super, super painful. I've torn other bits of this muscle before and it's been way worse and that recovered within a few days to a week. So I'm pretty sure this one shouldn't be too bad. It's just an annoying one to get.


Nice surprise for my girlfriend in the video, which you've seen today. That was a lot of fun and she deserves a huge amount of credit. You wouldn't get the videos that you get without her being here. I wouldn't be able to do it without her. So yeah, that was nice. And she's just got the ugliest crying face as well, which is brilliant... She's behind the camera.


That's kind of it for today. I got my workout done. It was only a single workout day. Tomorrow I might have to do a double day. I'm going to have to look at how I'm going to plan for the weekend, but I do have one 5K. Then I have one more gym session - a leg session.


And yeah, just want to try and get my nutrition more on point with a little bit more variety. Sleep is good, steps are really good. I had something like 13,000, maybe 14,000 steps today. So really making up for some lower days early in the week when the weather was shit.
