Video Diary - Day 11


Rock Bottom!

 

All right. Welcome to video Diary for Day 11. The good news this morning was that I was 5.5kgs down on the scales, which is a new record for this jourmey. Finally broke past that 5kg barrier that I've hit a couple of times.


Today was probably one of the toughest days on the journey so far. Just motivation was super low. Yeah, I spent a lot of the day just trying to do a little bit of work and after I got the walk in with the dogs this morning, there was just no motivation to go to the gym. Definitely my lowest so far and I knew I had to do a double session, so eventually I got my workout in and then got on the treadmill and did a few kilometres on the treadmill.

Pretty shattered tonight. But yeah, I felt great after I got it done, but it's always just getting there. The thing about discipline is that you're going to have to get through when the motivation's low, and that's what I felt today. People say they don't have the motivation to do something, but I treat it almost like a job. Not every day you get up and want to go to work, but you still go and do it. And that's how it kind of felt today to me. Really didn't want to go, wasn't enjoying my workout - and it's my favourite workout. It was a push session today and wasn't even enjoying that. Didn't feel right, just felt a little weak. But anyway, got through it and as soon as the run was done, I always feel better after running. As soon as the run was finished, I kind of felt great and had a bit more energy. But yeah, it was just a tough day until I finished the gym today and, because I was so lethargic, I don't think I got out of the gym until 7:00 PM which is unusual for me. I'll always get it done earlier in the day or almost always.


Food-wise was nice then because I hadn't had my first meal till I think lunchtime, 1:00 PM maybe 2:00 PM I didn't have my second one until I got back from the gym, and that meant I kept that one a little bit lower on calories, which allowed me to have a pizza tonight at about 11:00 PM which was unbelievable. And I'm sure you'll see it in the video. It was a 900 calorie pizza, but plenty of cheese, some chorizo. Everything is delicious and still as usual had room for an ice cream. And so that's kind of it really today was just about kind of getting through it about those days when motivation's super low, you just get it done and make it, like I always say, people should go and enjoy their exercise, but you just can't do it every time.


No matter how much you loves something. I'm sure there's professional footballers that love going playing football, but they absolutely don't love going to training every day and that's what today felt like and you just got to get through it. And that's what I did. So yeah, kind of happy from that perspective.


Delighted with my food, stuck to my calorie deficit. Gosh, it's past midnight now, so I dunno, my steps on my watch for around 12,000 steps in. So yeah, pretty happy with the day, how it turned out overall, despite the low motivation and that's it.
